LabelView
for Windows is fully
LabelView label design and print
management software for Windows is fully Y2K compliant. Our
PrintPad terminal has also been tested and found to be fully in
compliance.
- All LabelView date functions
in the program use an internal 4-digit year.
- All LabelView date functions
that calculate future dates, such as those used for
product expiration or sell-by dates will
correctly calculate dates across the millennium line.
Labels printed with a MM/DD/YY will be internally
evaluated correctly for all date values.
- All Logging functions operate
correctly across the millennium mark.
There are several assumptions
and caveats:
- LabelView for DOS cannot be
assured of being in compliance, as dates are dependent on
the hardware clock and BIOS in the specific PC. Many
older PCs cannot handle year 2000 dates. LabelView
running under DOS may crash if date stamps are used after
DEC 31, 1999 when running on these PCs.
- Versions of LabelView for
Windows prior to 5.0 have not been extensively tested and
may not correctly handle dates beyond DEC 31, 1999.
- LabelView for Windows version
5.0 has been tested for Year 2000 compliance and has been
found to be mostly compliant. Setting a Fiscal start date
beyond 31 DEC 1999 in this version will cause incorrect
fiscal dates to be printed.
- LabelView for Windows version
5.01 has been tested for Year 2000 compliance and has
been found to be fully compliant. All versions
after 5.01 are Year 2000 compliant.
- This certification applies
only to the LabelView application itself. Databases used
with LabelView, including any ODBC databases may not be
Year 2000 compliant. The database editor included with
LabelView version 5.2.00 is fully year 2000 compliant.
Earlier versions will not permit 29 FEB 00 to be entered
a date field.
- PrintPad BIOS 4.23 will not
permit 29 FEB 00 to be entered in the date setup screen.
All other areas are in complete compliance. BIOS 4.39,
which is available as a PrintPad update, eliminates this
problem.
