Gryphon™D200 ESD barcode reader

The new Gryphon™D200 ESD barcode reader has been developed by Datalogic in order to satisfy the strict requirements of EPA (ESD Protected Area). ESD is a phenomenon that occurs when an object has an imbalance in its electric charge: a fast charge transfer between objects with different electrostatic potential caused by contact or by the proximity of the two objects. Wherever electronic components are handled, installed or assembled, ESD poses a threat to product quality.

• Certified between static dissipative (106 OHM and 1012 OHM) and conductive (103 OHM and 106 OHM) range

The IMAGETEAM 3800 High Density ESD scanner is a high performance scanner designed for the stringent requirements of the clean room. The IT3800VHD/ESD reads very high density bar codes. All materials used in the IT3800ESD are tested using the methods described in ASTM D257, Standard Test Methods for Conductance of Insulating Materials. The surface resistivity is rated at less than 10E8 ohms/square. Triboelectric residual charge is measured with a non contact Electrostatic Field Meter and is less than 5 volts on any surface.
