Programmer-Analyst

Job Description
Data ID Systems, a premier bar code systems integrator, has an excellent opportunity in our Campbell office for a motivated skilled Microsoft Access© Programmer-analyst to write, test, and maintain software products. Revise existing software, update, repair, modify, and expand existing programs. Test programs to ensure that the operation is correct and that the program produces the desired outcome. If errors occur, make the appropriate changes and recheck the program until it produces the correct results. Responsible for both the systems analysis and the actual programming work. Programming languages such as C++ or Java, Pocket PC, and Windows/CE desired. Previous experience programming for the Pocket PC and Palm a plus. You will usually work about 40 hours a week—the same as many other professional or office workers do. However, evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines or solve specific problems. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, intellectually curious and results driven. You have crafted and delivered several custom, high performance systems you are proud of. You have a successful track record in highly scalable software design and architecture through the entire software life cycle from requirement analysis to data and technical design, development, testing and deployment. You are a coder and a craftsman.

Desired Requirements
Experience testing computer programs for various purposes. Communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the customer. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches. Finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information. Familiar with PDA programming tools: Satellite Forms, CodeWarrior for the Palm Pilot, C, C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Java, 4th and 5th generation languages, and MS Access database programming. Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or information systems. Team player and excellent interpersonal/time management skills.

Administrative Assistant

Job Description
Data ID Systems is looking for an administrative assistant that will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to run an organization efficiently. They will serve as an information manager for the office, schedule meetings and appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, manage projects, conduct research, and provide information via the telephone, postal mail, and e-mail. They also may prepare correspondence and handle travel arrangements. In addition to arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings, you may handle more complex responsibilities such as conducting research, preparing statistical reports, training employees, and supervising other clerical staff.

Desired Requirements
Requires extensive knowledge of software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. Administrative assistants applying for this position should be proficient in keyboarding and good at spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication. Because administrative assistants must be tactful in their dealings with people, we are also looking for good interpersonal skills. Discretion, good judgment, organizational or management ability, initiative, and the ability to work independently are especially important for this position.

Software Test Engineer Internship

Job Description
Data ID Systems is looking for a software test engineer to help ensure the quality of our software. You will work closely with the development team to support developer testing, expand our test suite and isolate new problems for the Palm Pilot Platform; test programs for correct instructions and intended results. Must be able to follow procedures, take written and verbal instructions, provide concise and accurate results and reports on testing. We are looking for an entry-level engineer or senior level technician with a BS plus 2 years of testing experience. The ideal candidate will be a student looking for work experience. This is an unpaid internship position with a future possibility of filling a software development position when one opens up.

Staff Accountant

Job Description
This individual will be responsible for various aspects of general ledger accounting, including: Preparation, review and posting of journal entries. Close interaction with various finance contacts to ensure timely close of Accounting Books. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Reconciliation of Bank Accounts. Review of Balance sheet and P&L statements. Ability to gain other's cooperation in getting job assignments done; Willingness to communicate and assist staff in accounting functions; Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Experience working with automated accounting systems; ACCPAC knowledge a plus; Flexible; willing to assume new duties and responsibilities over time. Have the ability to work in a fast paced changing environment while organizing work accurately to meet project deadlines. Possess a high level of interpersonal skills effective at all levels of management. Display a high degree of confidence, tact and diplomacy in dealing with all internal customers, suppliers and team members. Ability to organize work, report accurately, meet deadlines and be a team player.

Requirements
BS in accounting (must understand accrual accounting); Accounting experience including preparing accrual entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, reviewing financial statements for reasonableness.

Sales Development Representative

Job Description
Generate sales opportunities through pre-qualifying leads from web, seminars, direct mail, trade shows, etc. Work closely with Reseller Sales, Telesales and Field Sales to ensure that leads are being closed. Participate in regular programs including seminars and tradeshows. Must have the ability to effectively qualify leads and develop sales opportunities. Input prospect information into lead tracking form and forward qualified leads to Telesales, Field Sales and/or the Channel.

Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent experience. 1-2 years (outbound) telemarketing experience or other relevant experience. Knowledge of Bar Code/OCR products and/or knowledge of internet and computer markets. Must have ability to verbally articulate clearly and effectively over the phone. Must be a self starter and work well independently or in a team environment.
